Why Moms Love Our Hair and Makeup Service for Their Portrait Session
I recently did a blog post on why busy moms choose to work with us, and one of those reasons is that we offer hair and makeup for their portrait session. Whether it’s a maternity, newborn, milestone, or family session, hair and makeup is either included in your session or available for you to add on. On the surface, this may not seem like that big of a deal, but it’s one less task that you have to worry about.
Convenience
In my experience, if left to us, most moms would opt out of hair and makeup. It’s not that we don’t want it, but most of us don’t even know where to find an artist, much less have time to coordinate appointments. And that’s exactly why hundreds of busy moms have chosen our studio. The services we provide make it possible for you to take the time you deserve for yourself.
For maternity and outdoor family sessions, the artist comes to you so that you can get pampered from the comfort of your home. Newborn session are typically in the studio, so the artist will be here when you arrive. While you’re getting ready, I’m right there taking precious portraits of your little one.
What to Expect
We will coordinate everything for you based on the type of session and time of your session. We’ll tell you when to arrive or when the artist will be at your home. The ONLY thing you need to do is prepare your hair and face. We ask that you have clean, dry hair and a makeup-free face.
Our artists are skilled in different skin types, skin tones, and hair. We always ask if there are any allergies to products before getting started.
Each artist we work with is incredibly talented and works quickly, making moms feel comfortable and confident in their look. If you have a certain look you’re going for, just show the artist and she’ll rock it. Most of our moms like the natural “soft glam” look you see in my work.
If you have any questions, want to change something up, or are not happy with your look, please tell your artist. I promise, you are not going to offend them. In fact, they would much rather you say something rather than try to fix it yourself. The artists are here for you and want you to be happy and feel as beautiful as we know you are!
