Not everyone knows this, but before I started offering newborn photography in Newport Beach, CA, I was a wedding photographer. I absolutely loved it but knew we were starting to grow our family and wanted a more flexible schedule. I’ve always loved babies, wanted to work in the nursery as a child, and always wanted to be a mom. So, in a lot of ways, transitioning to newborn photography made sense. But what I didn’t know was just HOW much I was going to love it and what would come next.
When you think about newborns, you think about the baby. Obviously, right? But with newborn photography, I am not just photographing newborns, but their families, too. Each coming to my studio with their own story, and to be able to play a small role in photographing this chapter for so many across Southern California is truly a dream come true. One greater than I could have even imagined.
So much of what I do is focused on serving and eliminating all stress that could come with a newborn photoshoot. This includes hair and makeup, wardrobe, and printing your portraits- literally every single detail so that you can focus on creating memories with your family. And that’s exactly what this beautiful family did- both during their studio maternity session and now their newborn session.
Sara and Marc were so excited to welcome their surprise gender baby- a boy! Baby Anthony is SO loved by his big brother and sister. He seemed to settle in just perfectly with this family of five. Solo baby photos, family photos, and the most precious sibling photos- all moments that mom, dad, and the kids will cherish forever!
