He makes her laugh until her smile lights up his face. Together they are building a life at home, with their two fur babies.

They marry next month and I am so excited to be part of the best day of their lives together!

I wanted to give them something that they could have in their new place together as husband and wife. Usually we all start our days with breakfast and something to drink (it’s the most important meal of the day, right?!) So I decided to gift my clients each with their own mug with their names handwritten on it.  Nothing too special, just a way to let them know, I am not only their photographer but a friend. And who doesn’t like opening a box with cute packaging and finding a mysterious gift underneath it all?

I spent hours with them, where collections and treasures filled the walls and shelves of their home. I listened to the stories; how they met, fell in love, and their travel-filled journeys. It was that day, spent in their cozy little home, where I was able to witness love. The kind of love that makes you smile. The kind of love that brings you joy. The kind of love when vows are recited, means committed forever. Forever to them has been sixty years. It could seem like a lifetime to some, yet to them a lifetime spent together was not long enough.

Mr. Parker left us yesterday, leaving behind friends and family, but most importantly his soul mate. As I hold back tears, I am reminded of the laughter and joy he brought those in his presence. We could all learn a little from Bob, to cherish the moments and spend a life filled with laughter and doing what we love.

Please pray for Mrs. Parker that she can find comfort in this difficult time.
